COOLVAIR 64′ CAR SHOW..

I took CoolVair 64′ to its first car show. I didn’t hangout for the entire event but it definitely was definitely fun filled and packed (for our area) event.

The local busted out with their clean machines. The participants ranged from rat rods to completely done period correct builds. The last cruise night for the season is normally the largest of the season. I remember cruising by last year and checking it out.

There are two clubs that have a cruise night in my area. They are offset by one week and directly across from each other in opposing parking lots. I enjoy going to both events and the locations are literally a couple miles from our home.

Disneyland trip day 4..

Time to to head back to reality. We got a late start for our trip home. The girls were pretty much wiped out. I wasn’t doing to bad, I woke up at 7am. The girls started waking up around 10am. Lol.

The ride home wasn’t eventful. It seems like there is more traffic on Highway 5 then I can recall. We did see a couple of cool rides at Santa Clarita during a gas station stop.

Owners were coming back from a Bombs car show at San Diego this past weekend.

Another cool classic.

HARPO…

I know absolutely nothing about Auto Harps. This particular piece was found as “left-overs” at a local garage sale that took place yesterday.

I drove by thinking there would be an actual sale but everything left out was free for the taking and I was the first one there.

I picked up this musical instrument with no clue how it worked or functioned. Once I brought it home a quick search showed it was made by a manufacturer Oscar Schmidt.

There is still a market for new models and sold all over the world. The particular model I have is an early version. I saw the same model on eBay going for $700. Not too bad for a freebie.

SURFS UP..

I thought I’d try out another prop on the Corvair. I’ve seen plenty of photos with surfboard either on a roof rack or inside the bed of a ramp side. I really haven’t seen any with surfboard laid out in the back seat of a convertible. I’m sure there are photos out there, I just haven’t found them yet.
