So my 63′ Thunderbird has been leaking since the day I got it. I’ve tried tightening down the tranny pan and vacuum modulator but it still leaked oil.
I decided to take it to a local transmission for leakage repair and vacuum modulator replacement. I already purchased the “green stripe” modulator and brought everything over to High Speed Transmission located in Stockton, CA.
The gasket replacement and valve replacement went well but when I took it off for the ride home it started slipping after 5 miles or so. When I was entering the freeway entrance the motor and transmission completely lost engagement and I was forced to coast next to the sound abatement wall. Not a good spot, no shoulder and right next to a wall to get smashed.
I’m still don’t understand why after getting service this all happened. A part of me is saying it’s not a coincidence and that the mechanic Mike made an error in some process. I will make sure I get a warranty and have him test drive before receiving the car back. This definitely sucked.
I’ve been while at work and trying to get as many steps as I can through my work hours. I’ve started walking at lunch for the great distances. Still not much for an athlete but a lot for me.
Well it seemed that walking in the heat may be causing my ankles to swell up. I purchased a hybrid bike to continue my nightly exercises.
The model is a Globe Carmel City Bike Cruiser and it has been a long while since I’ve ridden a bike. I was so damn shaky riding around the court especially when making turns.
The previous owner for whatever reason did not install all the accessories shown. It was a great deal for me since he didn’t want the pieces to try and sell separately.
I know it’s not much of a distance for most folks but for me the idea of walking around the streets this distance is significant. More of a mind discipline accepting the fact that this will be part of my daily life. The distance will always vary but the intent will be the same. Get healthy.
Went for a morning ride and breakfast this morning. It was good to get out and feel the wind. Not a long ride at all but never the less fun to be with the Brothers and motorcycling.
I had taken my GL1800 to the local Honda dealership Stockton Honda Yamaha service center to have a recall performed. I had also wanted them to replace all my brake pads at the same time since I already purchased them. Long story short the place did not replace the right side caliper set stating it didn’t need it. I was pissed since I always replace the fronts in pairs as the manual states.
Well, at least for 3 months is my immediate goal. I want to see if this has an effect on my weight issue. Today I almost hit the 10,000 step mark on my Garmin VivoActive HR. I’m sure I’ll be hitting that value soon as I’m more aware of it and know what I need to do to achieve the goal.
