More workbenches…

I was able to get a nice work bench during our company’s in house clean up. It has adjustable legs making useful for a standup or sit down bench. I wanted the ability to roll it around the shop so I added a set of casters.

The casters sold at harbor freight didn’t have the stem thread pattern and size I needed so I had to retap the holes larger in diameter on all four legs.

Having a mobile bench is the way to go in a shop. If the project is too heavy I have other work surfaces that can handle the job. This is a light to medium duty setup.

Linden Car Cruise…

Still doing it while we can. Headed out to the town of Linden, CA. where the local meetup is held at the Orlando’s Market and Chevron station.

I would say the attendance was a bit lower than the opening event held last month. This may be due to the increase in COVID-19 cases throughout the country in general. Folks are just not going out and doing their normal activities.

When we go to these events we are isolated in our little group of known friends.

Morning crunch…

On my way to work I was delayed because of a wreck on White Rock Road. This is a two road where people get impatient and try to pass in areas clearly prohibited.

Dumb shits for certain.

I had to make a U-turn since no traffic was being allowed in either direction.

Manetarium goodies…

Woke up early to head over to the Stockton fairgrounds and hunt for sign I could use at the man cave.

I was able to score on the Charter Way street sign. This is a significant part of the south side Stockton cruising history. The name of the road has changed a couple times but for old timers Charter Way is what we will always remember.

Hot as fudge!

This is what happens when a temperature gauge designed to be in the shade gets direct sunlight.

I have two other thermometers inside of the Manetarium and a infrared measurement device if I want to get a more accurate reading.

The temperature gauge does read correct when it is covered in shade. That means any time after 12pm in its current location. I may move it to the other side of the corner to have constant shade.

4th of july 2020

This is the first time we’ve celebrated the 4th of July under a global pandemic condition. Under the current guidelines we celebrated at home by ourselves.

Even though the level of fireworks is peanuts compared to the city we left our fur balls did not enjoy the night time celebrations at all.

Ghetto Bus…

Pulled out the old Ghetto Bus today. It’s been sitting in the Manetarium unused for quite some time.

I did the full water top off maintenance and deep cycle charged for at least three days in a row. It seemed to operate as it always has in the past.
