This past week I’ve been working on the man cave aka “The Shop”. When I have the chance after work and not too tired I put some time in. Most of it is cleaning out the old and making room for my stuff. There wasn’t too much to clean, most loose items inside of the cabinets.
One thing about having a huge shop everything is relatively small compared to the inside. As a example I have a 65″ flat screen on the wall and it looks like a dinky view master.
I’m not sure I’ll keep the motorcycle inside of the shop since I plan on commuting with it. I’ll probably park inside of the 2 car garage on the other side of the property once it has been cleared out of boxes and other household items requiring attention.
We dropped off a bunch of stuff into the man cave it’s going to take awhile to sort out all the boxes and arranging everything. Packing company we used gave us these speed packs which are super convenient for transporting in the garage, seeds and general backyard items. We ended up with about 30 of those things and they all ended up in the shop regardless of the items in it. Shit.
We started moving 7:30am and didn’t stop until passed 11:30pm. Still have not completed the move.
We hired a moving company to move our Stockton home. They brought a crew of seven workers and three 26′ foot trucks. They originally brought two but it was apparent that wasn’t going to enough capacity really quick.
Today we expect to record and close on our Valley Springs home. We should be receiving the keys later today too!
UPDATE: escrow recorded and we received the keys to our home. We took a quick ride out to Valley Springs so I could prepare the shop for Cyclops arrival.

We took a ride out to Valley Springs this afternoon to check out our new to us home. We had to make a few measurements for our piano and refrigerator space. This time I took along my Canon 5DMK3 for wider angle shots instead of the usual iPhone snapshots.
Our property has a lot of photo opportunities with the natural background and studio I will be incorporating into the man cave shop down the hill.
I’ll be using our gazebo for some cool shots once we are settled in.
