We moved to Valley Springs from Stockton CA. over a couple years ago. I’ve passed this Mexican store and deli countless times and always wanted to stop in and check it out.
Wifey has been feeling under the weather so I went to see if they sold any type of Mexican soup.
It turns out there is a deli and the food sold is about “down home” as you can get. The owner Lucy is super nice and take her time preparing your order. I have to remind myself that when someone beats me to the counter. I’ve since gone back several times.
One note, when you use the parking lot you need to be strategic as the patrons don’t give a shit where they park. There are no guide line parking stalls. It’s pretty much wherever you happen to turn off your motor you’re good. It doesn’t matter if someone can’t get out. Also, jumping back on highway 26 can be challenge depending on what time of the day it is.
I’m trying to troubleshoot a smog related issue. So far I’ve replaced the 02 sensors and I’m now changing out the EGR valve (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) Valve. The smog failure was high NOX.
The actual replacement is not bad. You have to remove the fuel rail cover on the drivers side, an air hose and maybe disconnect the oil sender wired connector. It definitely helps if you have all the right tools on hand. In this case a variety of 3/8″ ratchets and open end wrenches is exactly what I needed. You do need something like a putty knife to scrape off the old gasket.
Full moon night. In a few short months it will be summer and I’ll be looking at the same moon wearing shorts and tank top. It’s been heck of cold lately up in the hills.
Since I own the iPhone 12 Pro Max with 512GB of ass kicking ram I thought I’d give a whirl at using a three axis gimbal. I decided to go with the DJI OSMO 4 model based on the various online reviews that it could handle the size and weight of Apples monster device.
One disadvantage of using the Pro Max is the fact using a case with the gimbal takes the OSMO4 to the limits. This goes against my grain of always having my devices in a protected case. I do have a screen protector but the way the magnetic phone holder secures the iPhone is very sketchy. The magnetic attachment between the holder and mounting bracket seems to be robust but the extension “arms” seem to barely grab the sharp cornered iPhone 12 model. It almost seems to be designed for the iPhone 11 smooth cornered models.
So, when you want to change setting on the Corvette Alpine it requires that the handbrake be in use. As it turns out the dang wiring for this feature was never hooked up.
I purchased a module that simulates the handbrake and brake pedal activation is in use. This allows you to access the setting section.
This was needed if you want to turn off all the warnings the GPS send out, mainly the over speed limit warning which I was constantly hearing.
The stereo was completely ghetto wired, too many shortcuts and cheap connectors used. I was able to identify most of the interior wiring except the power antenna activation signal. I looked all over and no luck.
It’s going to be a big day at the Manetarium. We are getting together with the design team and ha I’ll be installing the wireless air ride controller. This will be the first time designed hardware will be put into test.
We’ve been having issues with our septic tank regarding the pump not turning on. In a normal procedure the processed water should be pumped into the leech field. When a float activates a submerged tubular pump. This wasn’t happening.
Dave from Foothill Septic doing his thing.
I ended up having Dave perform a complete maintenance job. It seemed to make more sense since he was already at our location and the float switch issue was resolved.
I woke up early this morning waiting for the septic company arrival. Since I had time I went ahead and cleaned up the wheels and did the installation. I didn’t use wheel locks since I don’t ever leave any of the “toy” cars out of site, let alone at a parking lot attended.
