I took Harley to the vet this morning so he could be neutered. Poor guy didn’t have a clue what was going on. He even had his head and paws hanging out of the car window enjoying the breeze on the way to the vet hospital.
It’s definitely strange not to have Harley in the house at night. He’s always with both of us or one or the other. He rarely stays by himself. Tomorrow I’ll pick him up right at 9am. The earliest possible time.
First thing first. The doctor told me I could sleep without the hard neck brace on and last night was the first time since the operation I was able to go to sleep when I went to bed! The brace definitely contribute to keeping me awake at nights. I’m glad that part is done and over with because it was freakin’ brutal.
I went back in to get my right side centerpiece worked on. The outlines were done and had been partially shaded. The tattoo artist went to town and got busy. It was amazing to watch the transformation come to play. I’m super pleased with the detail of the motorcycle. Lorraine wasn’t to stoked about her facial profile because of the nose orientation and shape but realizes that it is her.
The session lasted about 4.5 hours and was getting brutal towards the end because I was still tender from the 1st session. I’ll be working on the rest of the tat in a couple of weeks allowing healing time and figuring out for sure what theme I’ll have going on my right side.
I had my first of several tattoo session. I’m working on a centerpiece that will be part of my right side sleeve. The photo below is the first outline session, I’m going back in tomorrow for the shading detail and Filipino Tribal work.
It’s just another day at the homestead. At least the weather has come down a few degrees. One thing about Harley, he doesn’t sit with you he sits on you. No matter where I go in the house he will be next to me sitting on my foot. I guess there is not much to report for today. :O
I have a few more days until I see the doctor and find out what I am able to do. I’m hoping I’ll be able to ride the car, I interpret that as able to ride a motorcycle 🙂
This is a new Mac OSX blogging tool that I’m going to give a try. It seems to be working okay so far. I’ll have to see if it breaks after a few times use. I’m liking this so far!
This is what Harley does most of the day. He’s so kicked back and relax during the day. At night when we take him for a walk it’s a different story. He’s out to get other dogs and cats. I arranged a vet appointment next week to take care of Harley (neuter time). He’ll be spending one night there for recovery. Everything will work out fine.
Well my insomnia is getting a little better and my withdrawals to the pain medications seems to have gone but I’m all out of whack in my sleeping schedule. I guess I’ll have to force myself to stay up during the day and not take the catnaps. I found the only thing on TV late at night are the infomercials. I think I’ve watched every get rich quick scheme known to the planet now.
Who would have thought I would ever have trouble sleeping? For the past couple of days I have not slept at night, I mean eyes wide open staring at the ceiling awake. I’ve come to the conclusion it’s due to me not taking any pain medications. I stopped cold turkey a couple of days ago and I am showing the classic symptoms.
