We now have another truck to haul around crap and lug stuff around. The name Beater II comes from us owning the same GMC Sierra model except 10 years newer. This Beater II needs a few things to get it working properly but nothing to that won’t allow us to use it right away.
Back view of our BMW 330ci. This car has been kept in immaculate condition throughout the years. Barely any signs of use and no sun damage (great for a convertible).
On the Porsche. Wifey have a blast going out for night rides in the Porsche.
We bought a new convertible for Mami today. I’ve been looking around for months for a BMW convertible that Mami would really enjoy owning. After back and forth negotiations with the seller we setup a day to check out the car and purchase if it was a go.
To make a long story short Lorraine fell in love with the car as soon as she saw it. Sold!
I took the day off today so I could take my wifey out for lunch at Fisherman’s Wharf San Francisco. We took the Boxster and it was the first time we took the Porsche to the Bay Area.
Had to replace the alternator on my Beater Boxster.
I’m in the process of making a video and it’s a documentary based on the motorcycle life of a Pinoy motorcycle rider located in Santa Maria, CA. We took a break and ate some of Filipino food at a local food truck.
I put a lot of miles on my commuter mobile. Considering the amount of time I’m on the road I think I’ve been fairly lucky not getting too many flats. I’ve had my share on the motorcycle and cars the past 30 years so it’s really no big deal except for the hassle of getting a replacement.
I got a flat on highway 99 North right near the Lodi airport where the parachuters hangout.
One thing about the Porsche, it has so many sensors that monitors various vitals of the car. When I first got the car I had the “break wear” warning. I knew I had to get them done soon.
I had both of my front pads replaced with after market ceramic pads and had new rotors installed at the same time. Since the wheels were off the calipers were painted red with high temp caliper paint.
Ever since I can remember I’ve always wanted a Porsche car. I guess when your a kid you when you think of racing cars and speed you automatically think of Porsche (or at least I did).
Earlier this morning I picked up my Porsche 986. It is far from being pristine but that’s okay I just call it my restoration project 🙂 Since it has a long way to go to fix up I’m going to call my Porsche “Beater Boxster”. The Boxster is the model name.
